Summary
A business card generator is a tool that lays out your name, job title and contact details on a card at its real printed size. To make a business card free and privately here, choose a Template (Classic, Modern or Minimal) and a Card size, fill in Full name, Job title, Company, Email, Phone, Website and Address, add a logo if you like, pick colors, and click Print / Save as PDF. The card is drawn in your browser and nothing is uploaded; you can check the Network tab in DevTools.
The card is sized in millimetres: 88.9 x 50.8 mm (3.5 x 2 in) for US and Canada, 85 x 55 mm for Europe and 91 x 55 mm for Japan. In the print dialog set the scale to 100% (Actual size), otherwise the card prints larger or smaller than chosen. Printing goes through your browser's own dialog, and that dialog is also how you save a PDF: pick Save as PDF as the destination.
Brand color as a HEX code? Convert it with the color code converter, or sample it from your logo with the image color picker.

Features
- Three templates. Classic puts name, title and company at the top left, the logo at the top right and contact lines along the bottom. Modern has a side panel with your logo, or your initials if there is no logo, beside the details. Minimal centres everything and leaves out the address.
- Seven text fields plus a logo upload (PNG, JPG, SVG, WebP or GIF). A Remove logo button clears it.
- Two colors. Background and Text. A warning appears when the contrast ratio is below 4.5:1, the WCAG 2 level AA target for normal text.
- Real-size printing in three card sizes, as one card or a full sheet with cut lines.
- Cut-off warning. If any single-line field is wider than its space, the tool lists it before you print.
- Private by design. Details and logo never leave your device.
| Card size option | Millimetres | Inches | Cards per full sheet |
|---|---|---|---|
| US / Canada | 88.9 x 50.8 | 3.5 x 2 | 10 |
| Europe | 85 x 55 | about 3.35 x 2.17 | 8 |
| Japan | 91 x 55 | about 3.58 x 2.17 | 8 |
What it does not do: there is no bleed or crop marks (only thin grey outlines as cut lines), no back side, no font choice, and no PNG or JPG download; output goes through your browser's print dialog. A transparent PNG or an SVG works well on a colored card, and you can cut a logo out of its backdrop with the background remover and size it with the image resizer.
How to Use the Business Card Generator
- Under Template, click Classic, Modern or Minimal, and set Card size.
- Fill in Personal Info (Full name, Job title, Company) and Contact (Email, Phone, Website, Address).
- Under Logo, upload an image, or leave it empty.
- Under Colors, choose Background and Text. Heed the low-contrast note if it appears.
- Under Print, choose One card or the full sheet option.
- Check that no cut-off warning is showing, click Print / Save as PDF, set the scale to 100% and print, or choose Save as PDF.
Who Can Use It
Freelancers, consultants, small shop owners and job seekers can print a handful of cards at home before a meeting or event, and anyone preparing a file for a print shop can export a PDF at the right size. Students and new graduates can pair a card with a CV from the resume builder and a cover note from the letter generator.
Add a link people can scan with the QR code generator. For events, make matching name tags with the badge generator or sticker sheets with the label generator. Once the work starts coming in, bill it with the invoice generator.
FAQs
How do I make a business card online for free?
Choose the Classic, Modern or Minimal template and a Card size, then type your Full name, Job title, Company, Email, Phone, Website and Address. Upload a logo if you have one and pick the Background and Text colors. The preview shows the card at its real proportions. When it looks right, click Print / Save as PDF. There is no account and no watermark.
Will the printed card come out the right size?
Yes, provided the print dialog is set to 100% scale (also called Actual size) rather than Fit to page. The card is laid out in millimetres, so it prints at exactly 88.9 x 50.8 mm (3.5 x 2 inches) for US and Canada, 85 x 55 mm for Europe or 91 x 55 mm for Japan. Turn on background graphics if your browser offers the option.
How many business cards fit on one sheet?
Under Print, choose the full-sheet option to get 10 US-size cards (two columns of five) or 8 European or Japanese cards (two columns of four) on one Letter or A4 page, with 10 mm page margins. The cards sit edge to edge and thin grey outlines mark the cut lines, so you can trim along them with a paper trimmer.
What is the standard business card size?
It depends on the country. The US and Canada use 3.5 x 2 inches (88.9 x 50.8 mm). Most of Europe uses 85 x 55 mm, about 3.35 x 2.17 inches. Japan uses 91 x 55 mm, about 3.58 x 2.17 inches. Pick the matching option in the Card size menu so the card fits wallets and card holders in your market.
Can I add my logo or a QR code to the card?
Yes. In the Logo section upload a PNG, JPG, SVG, WebP or GIF file; it stays on your device. It appears in the top corner of the Classic card, in the side panel of the Modern card and above the name on the Minimal card. For a QR code, make one with the QR code generator, download the PNG and upload it as the logo.
How do I save a business card as a PDF for a print shop?
Click Print / Save as PDF, then choose Save as PDF (or Microsoft Print to PDF on Windows) as the destination and keep the scale at 100%. The PDF keeps the card size and colors. Many print shops ask for bleed, a few extra millimetres of background beyond the trim line. This tool does not add bleed, so ask the shop before you send the file.
Why does the tool say some of my text will be cut off?
Each field is a single line, and a line that is wider than its space on the card is clipped. The tool checks this as you type and names the fields that do not fit, for example Website or Title / company. Shorten the text (drop "https://" from a web address), reduce what you include, or try another template, such as Modern or Minimal.
Is it safe to enter my details here, or are they uploaded?
Your name, contact details and logo stay in your browser. The card is drawn on the page, the logo is shown from a temporary local link on your device, and printing is done by your own browser, so the tool sends none of it anywhere. You can confirm this in the Network tab of your browser DevTools while you edit and print.
