Summary: how to use a free label generator privately
A label generator lays your text out on the exact grid of a label sheet, so each label prints inside its sticker. To make labels free and privately, choose a label type above, type your text, pick your sheet (an Avery 5160, 5163 or L7160 layout, another Letter or A4 sheet, or a custom size), check the preview and press Print labels / save as PDF. Your browser does the layout and printing: the text is not uploaded, and the Network tab of your browser's DevTools will show no request carrying it.
The tool prints address, mailing-list, shipping-block, product and custom text labels, and product labels can include a Code 128, EAN-13 or UPC-A barcode. It does not buy postage or make carrier labels with tracking numbers. Avery codes only name the layouts, and ZipConvert is not affiliated with Avery.

How to Use the Label Generator
- Under 1. Label type, choose Address, Mailing list, Shipping, Product or Custom text.
- Under 2. Content, type or paste your text and set Font size. For a mailing list, leave an empty line between addresses.
- Under 3. Sheet, pick the Label sheet printed on your packaging, or Custom size….
- Set Number of labels (it starts at one full sheet) and, for a part-used sheet, Skip used labels.
- Check the preview. Fix any amber warning by shortening lines or choosing a smaller font. Tick Print label outlines for a test page.
- Press Print labels / save as PDF. Choose the paper size shown under the button, 100% scale and Default or None margins. Print on plain paper first, then load the real labels.

FAQs
Which label sheets does the label generator support?
It has ready-made layouts for five Avery sheets on US Letter (5160/8160, 5161, 5163, 5164 and 5167) and four on A4 (L7160, L7163, L7165 and L7651). Sheets from other brands that say they are compatible with one of these codes usually share the same layout, but brands differ slightly, so print a test page first. For anything else, choose Custom size and enter the paper, label width and height, margins, gaps, columns and rows from the packaging.
How do I make the labels line up with the sheet?
In the print dialog pick the same paper size as the sheet, set the scale to 100% or Actual size rather than Fit to page, and leave margins on Default or None. Tick Print label outlines, print one page on plain paper and hold it against a label sheet in front of a light. If everything is shifted the same way, use Custom size with corrected margins.
Can I print a different address on every label?
Yes. Choose Mailing list and type or paste your addresses with an empty line between each one. Every address becomes one label, filling as many sheets as needed, up to 3,000 labels at a time. Copying a column from a spreadsheet works if you leave an empty row between addresses.
How do I print on a sheet that already has some labels used?
Enter the number of labels already peeled off in Skip used labels. Printing starts at the next position on the first sheet, counting left to right and top to bottom, and nothing is printed on the positions before it. This works only when the used labels are the first ones in that order; if they are scattered, use a fresh sheet. You can skip at most one fewer than the labels on the sheet.
Can product labels have a barcode?
Yes. Product labels can carry a Code 128 barcode (letters, digits and standard keyboard symbols, handy for SKUs; accented letters such as é cannot be encoded), an EAN-13 or a UPC-A barcode. A value that does not fit the chosen format shows an error instead of a barcode. If the label is so small that the thinnest bars would be under 0.25 mm or the bars under 5 mm tall, a warning appears, because many scanners cannot read them.
Does it make shipping labels with postage or tracking?
No. The Shipping type prints a small FROM block and a larger SHIP TO block on a sheet label, which is useful for parcels you have already paid for. It does not buy postage, talk to a carrier, create tracking numbers or print carrier barcodes. For those, use the label tool that your courier or marketplace provides.
How do I save the labels as a PDF?
Click Print labels / save as PDF and choose Save as PDF (or Microsoft Print to PDF) as the printer. The PDF keeps the exact sheet layout, including the paper size the tool asks for, so you can print it later or send it to someone else. Keep the scale at 100% when you print the PDF too.
Are the addresses I type uploaded anywhere?
No. The labels are laid out and printed by your own browser, so nothing you type is sent to ZipConvert or anyone else, and nothing is stored after you close the page. You can check this in the Network tab of your browser DevTools: typing and printing produce no request carrying your text.
