Working hours are 9:00–17:00, early 7:00–9:00, evening 17:00–22:00 local time.

Summary

A world clock shows the current time in several cities at once. To use this one free and privately, open the page: your local time and New York, London and Tokyo appear straight away, each card with its UTC offset and how many hours ahead of or behind you it is. Press + Add City to search 23 major cities, or any IANA time zone by city or zone name; if yours is missing, pick the largest city in its zone. The clock runs in your browser from your device's time and nothing is uploaded; the Network tab in DevTools will confirm it.

The Meeting Planner turns one date and time into every city on your clock and labels each as Working hours, Early, Evening or Night, applying daylight saving for the date you chose. The cities you add and the 24-hour setting are saved in this browser only. For converting a single time between two zones, the time zone converter is the shorter route.

Features of the World Clock

  • Your local time with its time zone name and UTC offset, plus a 24-hour clock switch.
  • City cards with the time to the second, the date, the UTC offset, a sun or moon icon and the gap to you in hours and minutes. New York, London and Tokyo are shown first.
  • Search to add: 23 ready-made cities, from Los Angeles to Auckland, plus UTC and any IANA time zone your browser lists. Searching Delhi, Bengaluru or Kolkata finds the Mumbai entry, which shares their zone.
  • Meeting Planner with Date, Time and In fields, a row for you and for each city, and a working-hours label on each row. It starts on the next full hour in your own zone.
  • Daylight saving applied for the chosen date, with a warning when a time falls in a spring-forward gap.

The clock has no alarms or share links, and it is as accurate as your device's own clock.

Daylight saving dates, as of October 2026

Many regions move their clocks by an hour in summer, on different dates. The clock uses your browser's built-in IANA time zone database rather than a stored table, so rule changes arrive with browser updates.

How to Use the World Clock

  1. Read Your local time at the top. Tick 24-hour clock if you prefer it.
  2. Press + Add City, type in Search a city, country or time zone… and click a result, or press Enter for the first match. Press Escape or ✕ to close the dialog.
  3. Remove a city with the ✕ button in the corner of its card.
  4. In Meeting Planner, choose the Date and Time, then say whose time it is under In: Your local time or one of your cities.
  5. Read the row for each city, move the time until the labels suit everyone, and share the agreed time in the zone you chose.

Who Can Use It

Remote teams and freelancers use it to schedule calls without mental arithmetic, and travellers to see when it is a sensible hour to phone home. For one conversion rather than a dashboard, you can convert one meeting time between two zones, and the timestamp converter translates log times into readable dates.

Developers who schedule jobs usually work in UTC; check the offset here, then build the schedule with the cron expression generator. Organisers can count the days to an event with the date difference calculator or watch it approach on the countdown timer, and print a wall planner with the calendar generator; the stopwatch times the call itself.

FAQs

How do I add or remove a city on the world clock?

Press "+ Add City", type a city, country or zone name (for example Lisbon, Brazil or Europe/Lisbon) and choose a result, or press Enter for the first match. Country names work for the 23 popular cities; other IANA time zones your browser lists are found by city or zone name. Remove a city with the ✕ button on its card. Your cities and the 12/24-hour setting are remembered in this browser.

Does the world clock adjust for daylight saving time?

Yes. Each city's time and UTC offset come from the time zone database built into your browser, which includes every daylight saving rule, so London shows UTC+1 in summer and UTC+0 in winter. The meeting planner applies the rules for the date you pick, not today's, and warns you when a chosen time does not exist because the clocks go forward that night.

How accurate is the time shown?

The clock reads your device's own clock once a second and converts it to each time zone, so it is as accurate as your device. If every city looks off by the same amount, check your device's date and time settings.

What is the difference between UTC and GMT?

UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is the atomic-clock based standard all time zones are defined against. GMT is the time zone of the UK in winter and is the same as UTC for everyday purposes. The UK switches to BST (UTC+1) in summer, so "London time" and UTC differ from late March to late October.

How do I find a good meeting time across time zones?

Add every participant's city, then enter a proposed date and time in the Meeting Planner and choose whose time it is. Each city shows the converted time and date with a label: Working hours (9:00 to 17:00), Early (7:00 to 9:00), Evening (17:00 to 22:00) or Night. Adjust the time until everyone is in working hours or as close as possible.

Why do some places have offsets like +5:30 or +5:45?

Not every country uses whole-hour offsets. India uses UTC+5:30, Nepal UTC+5:45, parts of Australia UTC+9:30 and the Chatham Islands of New Zealand UTC+12:45. The clock shows these exactly, and the "ahead of you" or "behind you" difference includes the minutes, for example 5h 30m ahead of you.

How does the world clock decide between day and night?

It uses a simple hour rule, not sunrise and sunset. A card shows the sun icon when the local hour is from 06:00 to 17:59 and the moon icon otherwise. In the Meeting Planner a separate label, Working hours, Early, Evening or Night, tells you whether the proposed time is sensible for each person.

Are my cities saved, and is anything uploaded?

The clock runs entirely in your browser from your device's time, and nothing you enter is uploaded; the Network tab in DevTools shows no request. The cities you add and the 24-hour setting are saved in your browser's local storage on this device only, so they are there on your next visit. Clear site data for zipconvert.com to remove them.
